Personal Demons-Review

I loved the first half of Personal Demons I really liked the concept behind the book. Frannie was a love/ hate MC for me. I really liked her personalty but sometimes she seemed a little to wishy washy for my taste. However by the end of the book she restored her assertiveness and took charge redeeming herself in my eyes. Frannie is plagued by a Demon Luc and an angel Gabe. They both are fighting for her soul, they want it for their perspective teams. Luc however falls hard for Frannie, you genuinely believe in his feelings for most of the book. Gabe for me I found him a little stand offish, and I didn't really buy his feelings for Frannie until the end of the book. The love triangle is cliche but I felt like it worked for this plot. I found myself liking Lucs sections of the book when we were in his head rather than in Frannie's. I really was not a fan of Taylor Frannie's friend at all, I liked Riley her friend well enough, but Luc was my favorite character. The plot was strong and interesting, but in the middle it slowed, and I found my attention straying. The end really perked me up though, by the ending I was a big fan again. I'm interested to see what is to come for all the characters I did get attached to them. I felt this book was more about the characters, and not so much the love triangle. I really am a fan of love triangles personally, but I can see why it turns some readers off the book. Like I said, I can also see someone's POV not liking Frannie, but I had to keep in mind her emotions were being toyed with. I can see how she would feel confused about the boys. I was a fan of the Heaven/ Hell dynamic, and I really liked how Frannie wrote in a journal telling her brother Matt about her day to day life, I found it endearing. I'm also a fan of the book The Grapes of Wrath, and that book is woven through the story, I didn't see that one coming. I recommend this book it was a quick interesting read. I wasn't over the moon about it, but it was good enough I'll continue on with the series.

"A story full of an emotional filled love triangle, good and evil work together for once"-Final thought on Personal Demons
