From the author of the popular Weather Warden series. Welcome to Morganville, Texas.
Just don't stay out after dark.
College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation, where the popular girls never let her forget just where she ranks in the school's social scene: somewhere less than zero.
When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life. But they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.
Rated a 5 out of 5 :)
I can't wholeheartedly say that I can relate to Claire in all ways, but I can relate to her when it comes to being kind of a nerd. Granted all dorky people like me don't get picked on all the time sometimes people are cool, but every now and then it does happen. I loved the descriptions in this book the Glass House Claire wants to rent a room in is described as being a cross between Gone with the Wind and The Munsters. I also instantly pictured Eve the girl who lives at the Glass House, and her goth gear and the description very imaginative, and also she is on the cover of this book :)...Michael and Shane(two boy roommates) both took on personalities for me quickly. The book definitely felt like a movie for me that is for sure. Oh and the kiss scene WOW I am telling you I have read lots of books and that honestly was the best kiss scene I have ever read ....swoon. Won't tell you who it is if you have read you know ;) anyway lots of twists and turns in Glass House. The entire town of Morganville is so creepy and dark feeling I love it. The way the towns people are described running in for curfew before dark spooky. I read this entire book in one sitting it was so swoon worthy and the plot was killer. Amelie the oldest vampire is so interesting to me wonder what is going to happen with her and all the other vampires. Hate Monica actually I usually can some how relate to the mean girl but they also reform sometime during the book Monica doesn't :( so still hate her. Since she doesn't reform she still gets disliked by me. Plus she is kind of really evil like killing folks evil. I loved the way this book ended so suspenseful I was jumping out of my chair. Big thumbs up for all the characters I felt connected to them and thats a huge thing. Excited for book two.
