Boys The Bite and Stake That!
Boys That Bite was hilarious I laughed out loud several times. Sunny McDonald was snarky and fun, and her and Magnus's chemistry was great. The story was a classic one the case of mistaken identity with Sunny's twin sister Rayne. Ryane was the gothic one and Sunny was the care free preppy one. Then toss in some vampires and its pure fun entertainment. Sunny gets bitten by Magnus and they have to reverse it because Rayne was the twin who wanted to be a vampire. The way Sunny just tells Magnus like it is had me rolling, and she doesn't even care how important or scary he is. I was rooting for Sunny the entire time she is so likable. Sunny and Magnus have to find the actual Holy Grail in order to reverse her vampirism. That is perfect because Magnus was a Knight in King Arthur's court way back when, so he has actually seen the Holy Grail. Magnus would do anything for Sunny I was just hoping she would pick up on it eventually. I loved Magnus and Sunny together, and I had to read the second book immediately.
Rayne McDonald is Sunny's sister she is goth and the total opposite of Sunny. She is full of attitude and totally guarded. She doesn't let anyone in because she has had a painful life. Her Dad left to find himself and he's still lost. Rayne doesn't have the best relationship with boys, and she is tough as nails. Jareth is a vampire and he is distant and cold and works alone. Rayne wants nothing more than to become a vampire since Sunny got her chance and blood mate. Rayne got put back on the list and decided to just wait patiently for her turn, but Slayer Inc. has something else in mind. They tell Rayne she is a slayer meant to kill bad vamps. She gets partnered with Jareth the tough loner. They can't stand each other, but they have to work together to save Magnus. Such a good story it had me hooked Rayne and Jareth are perfect their story was addicting. I can't wait to read the third book.
