But once every seven years, a flare comes, a time when magic runs rampant. When Kate sets out to retrieve a set of stolen maps for the Pack, Atlanta's paramilitary clan of shape shifters, she quickly realizes much more is at stake. I loved this book and I think it has the potential to be my favorite book in the series. I got more impressed with every page I read. I am in love with Kate and Curran, and I personally view Curran as a grown up Jace from the Mortal Instruments. I mean on some levels wow those boys are different but I just find them similar some little personality quirks they both share. But then he also reminds me of Adam Hauptman and Eric Northman. Must be why I love the man he reminds me of so many other great dudes. However he still is a character all his own. I loved the new characters in this book, well they weren't really new but they got a lot more story this time. I really like Julie and am liking her plot. I also am really into Andrea she is so tough but fragile. This story was just so great I loved how the goddess Morrigan was throughout the entire story, and lets not forget the hilarious "hero" Bran he was a riot. Plus you can't forget Kate she is the cutest character I love her to death. She is so goofy and she tries so hard, and she is endlessly brave. This book was just so good I could not put it down to save my life.
